History Of Greenwood Archers

Greenwood Archers has been going since 1953, with only twice in that time going into temporary recess. We have proudly held the New Zealand Outdoor Nationals here in 1967 and 1987 and the Indoor Nationals in 1980.

Currently we have 35 members in our club, and back in the 1980's we had a membership of over 100.

Greenwood Archers encourage, teach and promote our archers, catering from 10 years old to 18 years in the Junior Sections and Seniors integrated from 18 years upwards.

Facilties we have at our disposal are both indoor and outdoor ranges, accommodating up to 18m indoors and a full international FITA can be shot on the 10 targets on the outdoor range - thats up to 90m, in a beautiful, serene setting.

Club days are Sunday afternoons and Monday nights for seniors, and for coaching.
